“The opportunity to use my medical knowledge and skills on a greater level to improve the quality of care provided in our region is an exciting professional prospect,” said Dr. Loomis. “The decision to leave the practice was not made lightly and was strongly based on personal reasons about what is best for my wellbeing and that of my beloved family.”
Her interest in process improvement and healthcare innovation played a role in her decision to take on the new role. She will provide professional guidance to clinicians and the BRMG administration on matters relating to BRMG’s mission to work toward optimal high-value patient care while improving physician and APP experience and engagement. This position will assist with the management and advancement of the clinical practice performance of clinicians. This position will also facilitate improvements in performance on value-based contracts, advancing toward optimal patient quality, affordability, and experience while enhancing clinician and staff engagement.
“Physicians and hospital administrators working collaboratively for the common goal of improved quality of care, patient satisfaction and clinical outcomes is a win for everyone in our communities. My goal is to be the bridge that facilitates the ongoing collaboration. BRMG is committed to excellence in patient care, and we will continue to strengthen as we grow”, said Dr. Loomis.
“Since joining the medical staff, Dr. Loomis has been an active member,” said Kathy Bailey, President and CEO of UNC Health Blue Ridge. “I value her opinions and willingness to work with us on improving any troubling areas that occur as we provide care in the community.”
Dr. Loomis’s last day at Table Rock Family Medicine will be July 31, 2024. Her departure marks the end of an era for the practice but the beginning of an exciting new chapter for Blue Ridge Medical Group.
